Dental consultations in Gawler
If you haven’t been to the dentist for a while or are a new patient at Gawler & Districts Dental Care, then you’ll have to make an appointment with us for an initial consultation. If any restorative work is required as a result of this, then you will be booked in for further appointments, otherwise, six-monthly check-ups will be sufficient.
What to expect from dental consultations
When you come to Gawler & Districts Dental Care for your first consultation, we’ll use this time to complete a full oral examination, as well as gathering details about your oral history. This will help us to identify more easily any changes which have occurred over the past few years, and will ensure a thorough understanding of your teeth and gums.
Your dentist will also discuss your individual oral health goals and how you feel about your smile, which will be taken into account when considering any treatments. X-rays may also be taken to provide a better picture of the state of your teeth and gums, as some things can’t be seen during a routine examination.
If treatment is recommended, then we’ll create a tailor-made plan with you, making sure that you’re fully informed at all times.
